Investigating and co-working through best practices

Leading partner JAMK University from Finland is responsible for this WP. All Partners will integrate the teachers’ competences developed in WP 3 and utilize them in the development of CPD courses to support the development of students’ digital competences.
The work identifies joint objectives on the development work and familiarizes participants with the chosen Carpe Diem method. Students’ digital competences act as the basis for the teamwork to be carried out in Finland. Before study visit at JAMK, there has been organized online checking points: 30/09/2021; 14/10/2021; 04/11/2021 and 15/03/2022, before the visit in at JAMK University.

Online study visit at JAMK, December 2021

The study visit foreseen to be held in person at JAMK University in Finland, was realized online, due to COVID 19 situation. The partners from JAMK prepared and host this online study visit. The program was based on the WP4 CPD courses and online technology.

During two-day training, there was presented Carpe Diem process, storyboard presentation from Kosovo partners, OmakS concept; E-pedagogy for the Carpe Diem process: Discussion and testing; 0 Introducing the Handbook process, responsibilities; Agreeing on spring 2022 schedules (including on-line study
circles).

Developing CPD and on-line learning materials and utilizing virtual learning

The aim is to develop a prototype through Carpe Diem method. The CPD courses are developed into on- line courses or blended learning courses by each Kosovar HEI supported by EU partner HEIs. Work is carried out on-line and utilizes the Carpe Diem phase 3) prototype.
During the online checking points and Carpe Diem process, Kosovar partners have arrived to finish the carpe diem process and created prototypes for each course which will be developed and piloted in the WP4.

Piloting CPD courses

This phase follows the Carpe Diem phase 4) check-reality to test the digital skills of Kosovar HEIs teachers and students. Aim is also to test the suitability of developed course contents for enhancing the digital skills of students. In addition, the pilot courses will reveal whether or not the courses are developed accordingly in relation to the objectives of each course and recognized competences.

Kosovar partners: Hemierer College and Public University “Kadri Zeka” will develop and create 9 new
course per ache. They have chosen which courses will be piloted during an academic year 2022/2023,
winter and summer semester. RIT Kosovo will pilot less courses. All preparations have been done, such
as course descriptions, updated syllabuses, competence descriptions, piloting phase and all responsible
professors have been trained during this time in online workshops and in Teachers training in Prishtina.

Teacher’s training in Prishtina, March-April 2022

The main objectives of this event are to enhance the competencies of teachers regarding pedagogical approaches based on digital technologies and to further develop competencies for teachers in integrating digitization and Entrepreneurship Education in our curriculums and classrooms. In parallel, it will further examine the existing capacities on tools, and knowledge to implement digitization processes & technologies in the future.
This training is being delivered by relevant experts/professors in digitalization, social and health sciences from the JAMK University and Metropolia University, Finland, and Halle University and Univations,
Germany. Each training day, the participants had the possibility to discuss, work and further develop five main competencies, which will be integrated in current and new curricula, specifically Interdisciplinary
collaboration, ICT & Digital competencies, Innovation and entrepreneurship, Evidence-informed practice, User involvement, and person-centeredness under the WP3 and WP4 of the project. The beneficiaries of
this training are teachers from the rest of the project consortium members from Kosova: Institute of Southeast Europe for Health and Social Policy, Klinika Digjitale, Kadri Zeka University, and RIT Kosovo. They are the ones who will follow up in terms of co-creating and revising relevant credit and non-credit-based modules for their students.

Study visit at JAMK University, April 2022

From 25th until 29th of April, JAMK University of Applied Sciences hosted a 5-day study visit in Jyväskylä, Finland with the implementation of activities under the SIAHDPC project.A variety of sessions were held this week on learning platforms, innovative teaching methodologies, services in health sciences, and the use of technology to advance the competencies of health students and health professionals.

The team was also able to visit other innovative centers and lectures, such as active participation and presentations about the Carpe Diem process, piloting of certain subjects, development of competencies, syllabi: Participation in Cyber Security Lectures; Participation in two separate simulation lectures about the most advanced technology; Participation in the online event on Digital Rehabilitation; Introduction to Rehalab; Participation in the seminar on co-creation; Participation in the lecture / workshop on the Moodle platform; Visit to Start Up Factory; visit to Game Pit; Lazy Town Incubator of Business;

WP6/ Dissemination and exploitation

March 2021

The Rector of "Kadri Zeka" University in Gjilan, Prof. Dr. Bajram Kosumi, has signed the Partnership Agreement of the SIAHDPC Project (Student-run Interdisciplinary Allied Health Digital Practice Center), financed by Erasmus + Program, where the coordinator is Heimerer College in Pristina.
The SIAHDPC project is expected to enable Kosovo's HEIs to contribute more effectively to the field of health, improving the quality and relevance of teaching needed to address skills mismatches in the future.
Also as a direct impact will be the development of skills towards a more comprehensive and connected higher education system. This project will also create new and stronger cooperation links between the "triangle" of education, research and industry for higher levels of effectiveness and funding mechanisms.

Monitoring visits November 2021

At the “Kadri Zeka” Public University in Gjilan, the director of the ERASMUS+ Office in Kosovo stayed on a monitoring visit for the SIAHDPC (Student-run Interdisciplinary Allied Health Digital Practice Center) project. Jehona Lushaku and official Blerina Zjaqa. They have held a meeting with Prof. Asst. Dr. Kastriot Dërmaku, Luljete Berisha and Betim Berisha from the Office for International Cooperation as well as UKZ student Endrit Ajeti
In this meeting, the achievements of the project and the difficulties that have been presented so far were discussed, while the collaborations within the Erasmus+ program, the challenges and experiences within these collaborations were examined. Our Kosovar partners Heimerer College, UKZ and RIT welcome the national agency Erasmus + for a
monitoring visit for the SIAHDPC-Student-run Interdisciplinary Allied Health Digital Practice Center
project. During these meetings the achievements and limitations during the implementation of the
first year in the project were discussed and we presented the next steps in the project. Present were
representatives of the Erasmus + agency Mrs. Jehona Lushaku and Mrs. Blerina Zjaqa and project
representatives from HC, UKZ and RIT.

ERASMUS INFO DAYS, October 2022

Students and Academic and Administrative Staff on the second informational day for Erasmus+ projects, organized by the Office for International Cooperation of “Kadri Zeka” &  University in Gjilan, showed great
interest in the way of applications or criteria.
Today the activities were organized around the way of applications, the content and the summary of the work of the projects of the Erasmus + program, etc.
During this session, the attendees were informed by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at UKZ Prof. about the presentation of work in international projects and about other activities. Assoc. Dr. Dukagjin Leka, who has separately presented UKZ's international projects / Erasmus+ projects
(QUADIC, ENEMLOS, QATEK, SIAHDPC, STAND, SMAHPC, E-Viva) etc.
Also, in this organization, the concrete experiences of the office for international relations were discussed,
where there was a great curiosity about the whole process from those present.
